The Algerian Interior Ministry reported Sunday that the final assault by Algerian special force to In Amenas gas field in the southern region killed 32 terrorists and 23 hostages.

AFP quoted Algeria’s Annahar TV as saying that 25 bodies have so far been discovered but those deaths have not been confirmed to be included in the list released by the Interior Ministry. The UN Security Council strongly condemned the kidnap and stressed the urgent need to bring the militants and their backers to trial.
