(VOVworld) – The 65th General Assembly of the World Health Organization opened on Wednesday in Geneva, Switzerland with the participation of more than 3,000 delegates from 194 member countries.

Vietnam is attending the event with a delegation led by Deputy Minister of Health Nguyen Viet Tien. With the theme "Ageing and Health: good health adds life to years", the meeting will focus on universal health coverage, Millennium Development Goals and non-communicable diseases. Mental disorders, nutrition, adolescent pregnancy and measures to deal with a flu epidemic are also high on the agenda. The WHO will also set its financial policy and budget for next year.
