(VOVWORLD) - At least seven teachers were killed in a shooting at a school in the Parachinar area in northwestern Pakistan, near the border with Afghanistan, on Thursday, Geo TV reported.
Pakistani police are investigating the motive behind the incident, and said there is a possibility that the attack was an act of terrorism.
School shootings are rare in Pakistan. However, in December 2016, there was a bloody gun and bomb attack at a military school in the city of Peshawar that killed more than 140 people, mostly students.
