Ahmed al-Sharaa appointed as Syria’s Interim President
(VOVWORLD) - On January 29, Ahmed al-Sharaa was officially appointed as Syria’s interim president, overseeing the country’s transition. As part of this process, all military factions in Syria will be dissolved.
Syrian military spokesman Hassan Abdel Ghani confirmed that al-Sharaa will represent Syria in international forums.
He also announced that all armed groups and political organizations will be integrated into state institutions, marking a significant shift in Syria’s governance.
