(VOVworld) - Hanoi is hosting the 13^th ASEAN Ministerial Meeting on Environment (AMME 13) and the ASEAN Senior Officials Meeting on Environment this week. AMME 13 will review progress in implementing regional environmental deals since AMME 12 and entertain proposals for future environmental cooperation.

The meeting will also discuss and adopt an ASEAN Declaration on Climate Change to prepare for the 21st United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP21) and the Joint Statement and Outcomes Statement of AMME 13. The event will be attended by environment ministers from Japan, China, and the Republic of Korea (RoK), the ASEAN Secretariat, and representatives of ASEAN’s partner organizations.
