AP’s visit enhances understanding between Vietnamese and American peoples

(VOVworld) - Vu Xuan Hong, Chairman of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organisations (VUFO), has praised the visit by a delegation of AP reporters and officials as one of activities to mark the 20^th anniversary of normalizing bilateral ties between Vietnam and the US.

Hong made the statement at a reception in Hanoi Thursday for the visiting 10-member AP delegation led by President and CEO Gary Pruitt.

He noted that the visit has also contributed to strengthening mutual understanding between the two peoples and bilateral cooperation.

Gary said the first trip by AP senior officials aims to witness Vietnam’s current developments, Vietnam-US relations, and organize activities to increase friendship and diplomatic ties.
