Fiorda, a journalist with Argentina’s National Radio and a long-time Vietnam expert, highlighted Vietnam’s strong economic performance during the term of the 13th Party Congress, with average annual GDP growth of 5-6%, which was high compared with regional and global levels.

In recent years, Vietnam’s economic scale has continued to expand, with GDP surpassing 400 billion USD and per capita income rising steadily year after year. According to Fiorda, these results indicate that Vietnam is entering a new stage of development, with a focus on restructuring the state toward greater efficiency, selective use of resources, and investment aimed at manufacturing, technology, green transition, and digital transformation.

He said the “bamboo diplomacy” pursued during the term of the 13th National Party Congress stands out as a major success, enabling Vietnam to maintain independence and self-reliance while flexibly expanding relations with major partners like the European Union, China, and the US.

Fiorda said this flexible approach, marked by readiness for dialogue and adaptation to global priorities, has helped Vietnam enhance its international standing and become a trusted partner in supply chains and trade cooperation.
