At a meeting with journalists in Hanoi on Monday, General Nguyen Van Thanh said that reporters have helped the public understand more about Vietnamese soldiers. "The General Staff holds an important task, so it’s necessary to disseminate information to help the public understand about its activities in supporting search and rescue operations, disaster mitigation and poverty reduction.
