North Korea’s Committee for the Peaceful Reunification of Korea condemned the arrival of the US aircraft carrier USS Nimitz for a joint drill as an "extremely reckless" provocation and a rehearsal for war against Pyongyang. According to the Korean Central News Agency KCNA the joint naval drill involving the latest weaponry including the nuclear aircraft carrier threatens North Korea and demonstrates that the attempt to invade North Korea has reached an extremely reckless level. The North's Committee for the Peaceful Reunification of Korea called the presence of the USS Nimitz at Busan port, South Korea, an “existing threat” towards North Korea.
