(VOVworld) – ASEAN and East Asia Summit (EAS) economic ministers pledged to promote broader economic integration in the East Asia and Asia-Pacific regions.

A joint statement issued in Nay Pyi Taw, Myanmar, on Wednesday said the ministers will enhance their co-operation to maintain the EAS’s central role in promoting national economic integration and global economic recovery, prosperity and stability.
The EAS Economic Ministers’ Meeting was part of the 46th ASEAN Economic Ministers Meeting. The EAS countries are Australia, China, India, Japan, the Republic of Korea, New Zealand, Russia, and the US.
