On the threshold of the 7th annual Australia-UK ministerial meeting, Australian Foreign Minister Julie Bishop and British Foreign Secretary Philip Hammond say terrorism will be a top priority of the two nations. The ministers say military action has checked the advance of IS in Iraq but the group has continued to attract financing and recruit foreign fighters.

Australia and the UK have joined anti-terrorism campaigns both military and non-military. Defense procurement and potential shipbuilding cooperation will also be discussed.
