(VOVWORLD) - The Vietnam Buddhist Culture Exhibition opened Monday at the Vietnam Buddhist Academy in Ho Chi Minh City.
The exhibition, coinciding with the celebration of UN Day of Vesak 2025 from Tuesday to Thursday, highlights the richness and diversity of Vietnamese Buddhism, which contributes to the unique cultural identity of Vietnam and enriches the global picture of Buddhism.
Most Venerable Thich Tho Lac, Head of the Cultural Department of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, said the exhibition features Buddhist relics recognized by the State as national treasures.

“Treasures are on display or recreated through images. The exhibition presents four key cultural themes –language, monk’s robes, architecture, and heritage. Vietnamese Buddhism comprises many sects, each with its own attire, rituals, architecture, statues, and heritage, all of which need to be preserved, promoted, and respected,” Venerable Lac said.
A 500-square-meter Buddhist flag was raised at the Academy to kick off the city’s Vesak 2025 celebrations.
