Ex-King Norodom Sihanouk of Cambodia died in Beijing this morning during medical treatment at the age of 89.

According to Deputy Prime Minister Bun Chay, King Norodom Sihamoni flew to Beijing right after his father’s death to accompany the late king home for a traditional style funeral. Sihanouk was born on October 31st, 1922. Before his death, he traveled to Beijing frequently for treatment of cancer, diabetes, and high blood pressure.
