Cambodia's help during pandemic proves friendship, solidarity

(VOVWORLD) - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh Monday sent a letter of thanks to Prime Minister of Cambodia Hun Sen for Cambodia’s support for Ho Chi Minh City to fight the COVID-19 pandemic.

In the letter, Prime Minister Chinh said the assistance of the Government and people of Cambodia is a testament to the friendship, solidarity and tradition that the two nations have always had for each other.

He thanked Prime Minister Hun Sen and the Cambodian Government for the attention to the Vietnamese communities and Cambodians of Vietnamese origin during the implementation of COVID-19 response measures.

Prime Minister Chinh said he believes that with the determination and coordination between the two Governments and the consensus of the two peoples, Vietnam and Cambodia will soon defeat the pandemic, quickly recover their economies and continue to advance for sustainable development.

Vietnam News Agency said that on Saturday, Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen sent a letter to the Vietnamese Prime Minister to inform that Cambodia would present Ho Chi Minh City with medical supplies, including 1 million medical masks, 100,000 N95 masks, 100 oxygen generators and 200,000 USD in cash. The Cambodian Red Cross Society also presented 100,000 USD and the Cambodia-Vietnam Friendship Association 100,000 USD.
