Capital city jam-packed with Mid-autumn events

(VOVWORLD) - Artisans and craftsmen across Hanoi are joining forces to hold a series of exhibitions and workshops in celebration of the 2024 Mid-Autumn Festival at heritage sites in the Old Quarter.

Several of them have already begun on Friday, including the “Old Quarter heritages’ traditional Mid-Autumn Festival Space” at the Phung Hung Mural Street; an interactive exhibition introducing lacquerware goods at Dong lac Temple; workshops on Vietnamese tea and mid-autumn lanterns, an exhibition space on how the festival is celebrated in Hanoi, among others at the Ma May Street’s Ancient House.

Also opened on Friday at the Phung Hung Mural Street were a workshop on traditional toy making, a children’s fashion show, and traditional folk games.

More Mid-Autumn activities have been planned for next week, including decorating spaces for traditional toy-making, followed by an art exhibition theme “Season of the Moon” by artist Le Thiet Cuong and traditional Te Tieu puppetry performances on September 15.
