(VOVWORLD) - China will firmly defend its core interests while continuing dialogue with the United States to promote cooperation and manage differences between the two countries, top diplomat Wang Yi said at a symposium in Beijing on Tuesday on the international situation and China's foreign relations in 2025.

Foreign Minister Wang said China has talked with the US to seek cooperation, foster a more rational, objective view of China, and address differences through consultation and dialogue.
He said China and the US must seek solutions to their concerns based on equality, mutual respect and mutual benefit.
