During his visit to Thailand, on Friday, Li held talks with Thai Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra, where she endorsed the proposal of upgrading ties. Regarding the East Sea issues, Li praised Thailand’s coordinating role in ASEAN-China relationship to gain progress in negotiations on the Code of Conduct in the East Sea (COC). Shinawatra committed to enhancing Thailand’s role to ensuring peace and stability in the East Sea.
The two leaders witnessed the signing of a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in railway transport and other cooperation deals on economics, trade, investment, technology, energy, and navigation.
