(VOVWORLD) - The Central Intelligence Agency’s station at the US Embassy in Saudi Arabia was hit Tuesday by a suspected drone amid ongoing attacks throughout the Middle East.
Saudi Arabia's defense ministry said the embassy was hit by two drones, which resulted in a limited fire and some material damage. The CIA declined to comment.
Iran has retaliated to US attacks by attacking Israel and US-linked targets throughout the region. General Ebrahim Jabbari of Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps warned that Tehran will continue to retaliate strongly against the US and Israel if hostilities persist. He declared the Strait of Hormuz closed to traffic.
The Israel Defense Forces announced a wave of strikes against missile launch facilities, air defense systems, and infrastructure in Iran.
