(VOVWORLD) -The circuit-3 500kv transmission line project from Nam Dinh I thermal power plant to Pho Noi is qualified and ready for energization, according to the meeting of the Appraisal Council on Friday in Hung Yen province.

The project will help reduce load and avoid overload on 500 kV lines, especially when transmission capacity is high at the North-Central interface at a time when hydropower plants in the North have low generation.
The line also helps improve transmission stability reserves on the North-Central interface. Combined with the 500kV Quang Trach-Quynh Luu-Thanh Hoa-Nam Dinh I Thermal Power Plant segments, it will contribute to capacity from power sources in the North Central region to the load center in the Northern region.
The project, which began on January 18, has a length of about 127 km, passing through the provinces of Nam Dinh, Thai Binh, Hai Duong and Hung Yen.
