COVID-19: Vietnam records no new community infections for 4 days
(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam recorded no new COVID-19 cases on Wednesday morning, marking the 4th consecutive day without infections in the community.
The total number of COVID-19 cases detected in Vietnam remained at 1,044, of whom 690 are locally transmitted. 735 patients have been successfully treated.
One more COVID-19 patient died on Wednesday, the Ministry of Health in Da Nang city said. The 76-year-old male patient from Da Nang had suffered serious illnesses before contracting COVID-19. A total of 35 patients died of the disease, most of them were elderly patients with underlying health conditions, according to the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control.
