COVID-19: Vietnam reports 112 new cases Friday noon

(VOVWORLD) - The Health Ministry announced 112 new infections of COVID-19 Friday noon, raising the total count in the morning to 203. 

109 of the latest cases are locally transmitted and were recorded in HCM city (50), Long An (21), Bac Giang (18), Binh Duong (12), Hung Yen (3), Phu Yen (2), Bac Ninh (2), and Quang Ninh (1). 

106 of which were detected in quarantine facilities or locked down areas.

The number of COVID-19 infections in Vietnam in the ongoing wave has surpassed the 11,000 mark.
