Cuba and the EU start third round of negotiation

(VOVworld) – On Wednesday, Cuba and the European Union started a third round of negotiations on political dialogue and cooperation.

The talks will be led by European chief negotiator Christian Leffler and Cuban Deputy Foreign Minister Abelardo Moreno. A European diplomat said the agenda is focused on cooperation and an ambition to address two other topics - trade and political dialogue. In February, 2014, EU - Cuba ties were normalized after being suspended for a decade. Cuba is now the only country in Latin America that has not signed an agreement on political dialogue with the EU.
