(VOVWORLD) - The Da Nang People’s Committee has proposed investing in 33 technical and social infrastructure projects to serve its free trade zone.

According to the proposal, Da Nang will prioritize funding and investment in both internal and external infrastructure for the free trade zones. 30 projects will be developed outside the free trade zones, spread across Hoa Vang District and Lien Chieu District.
Some notable external infrastructure projects include logistics and inland port facilities, new urban areas, coastal port service urban zones along the Cu De River, and resettlement areas.
In addition, there will be road projects include connection road from Lien Chieu Port through the Cu De River port service urban area and the free trade zone to the North-South Expressway.
Da Nang also aims to develop semiconductor chips and artificial intelligence (AI) within the free trade zone. Among the 33 proposed projects is a research, development, training, and business incubation hub located in the Da Nang Hi-Tech Park, along with several roads connecting the hi-tech park to the ring road and National Highway 14B.
