Deputy PM delivers Christmas greetings to religious organizations
(VOVWORLD) - Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh on Sunday visited the Archbishop’s Residence in Hanoi, the Evangelical Church of Vietnam (North), and the Committee for Solidarity of Vietnamese Catholics to deliver greetings for Christmas 2024 and New Year 2025.

At the Archbishop's Residence, Mr. Binh greeted Archbishop Giuse Vu Van Thien and other dignitaries and followers and said the Party and State have allowed the Holy See to open an Office for a Resident Papal Representative in Hanoi.
He noted that the elevation of diplomatic relations with the Vatican to a new level reflects Vietnam's growing prestige on the international stage. Many countries have praised Vietnam’s role and recognized it as a peaceful, friendly nation ready to be a friend to all countries, he said.
At the Evangelical Church of Vietnam (North), Deputy PM Binh greeted Pastor Bui Van San, Head of the Church, and the Church’s pastors and congregation, wishing them a joyful Christmas, good health, and a prosperous New Year. He encouraged continued collaboration with other religious groups, fostering unity among all people to build a stronger and more prosperous Vietnam.
At the Committee for Solidarity of Vietnamese Catholics, the Deputy PM praised the its role in strengthening unity, not only within the Catholic community but also between different religious groups and between Vietnam and the international community.
