(VOVoworld) – A National Assembly delegation of Quang Nam province led by Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc on Sunday met voters in North Tra My district. Phuc informed them of the nation’s socio-economic situation in September with macro-economy being stabilized, inflation controlled and social welfare ensured.

On behalf of the Party and State, the Deputy PM shared the people’s worries about earthquakes in Song Tranh 2 hydropower plant area.  He pledged that the government will do its utmost to ensure safety for the people: “The Prime Minister has decided to install accelerators and establish 5 more observatories to assess earthquake. Scientists are stationed there during the monsoon season to monitor the situation. Electricity of Vietnam (EVN) orders the Management Board of Project 3 to assist the people, their 250 houses and 10 public projects.”

Scientists and officials say Song Tranh 2 hydro power plant remains safe, but further monitoring is needed.
