(VOVworld) - Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc began an official visit to Singapore as the guest of Singapore’s “Friends of Lee Kuan Yew” program.
During his meeting with the program’s Chairman, Eddie Teo, who is also Chairman of Singapore’s Public Service Commission, the two leaders expressed delight at growing bilateral ties in politics, trade, investment, education, tourism, and people-to-people exchanges based on mutual trust, respect, and benefit.
Teo lauded Vietnam’s socio-economic achievements and said that Singapore always values cooperation with Vietnam. Singapore is ready to support Vietnam and share its experience in areas where it is strongest.
On Monday, Mr. Phuc met with the staff of the Vietnamese Embassy and other Vietnamese representative offices in Singapore. He said investment between Singapore and Vietnam had increased, generating opportunities for Vietnamese business
