At a review meeting with the provincial Party Committee’s Standing Board on Dong Nai’s socio-economic development over the past eight months, PM Chinh asked the province to develop its strategic infrastructure, expand its science and technology, ensure social security, and protect the environment.

Priority, Mr Chinh said, should be given to developing several key, high-tech economic sectors, transitioning industrial zones toward green and sustainable practices, and deepening participation in production, distribution, supply chains, and global value chains.

Dong Nai must increase its regional, national and global links and improve its administrative reform, digital transformation, and business investment environment, he added.

The PM said he hopes with its strategic position and role, Dong Nai will connect the southeast region into an industrial hub, an international-class urban area with a smart infrastructure, and an international trade, tourism, and service center.

“Taking advantage of its recent growth and the aspirations and determination of the provincial Party Committee, government, and people, Dong Nai should renew its thinking, vision, and effort, and take drastic action to create a new, fast, strong, and breakthrough driving force. The immediate task is to successfully complete the socio-economic development goals the administration set for the 2021-2025 period,” said Mr. Chinh.
