DPRK, Japan resume talks in China

(VOVworld) - Red Cross officials and diplomats of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) and Japan resumed talks in China on Wednesday about reopening formal government-level negotiations.

They also touched upon the search, gathering, and repatriation of Japanese who died in Korea during and after World War II.

According to Japan, 34,600 Japanese were believed to die in the war. So far only 13,000 remains have been returned home.
