Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong
(VOVworld) – Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong chaired a national conference on Thursday on the implementation of the Politburo’s Directive 46 on enhancing the Party’s leadership in ensuring social security and order in the new period. President Truong Tan Sang and Permanent member of the Party Secretariat Le Hong Anh attended the event.

Party leader Nguyen Phu Trong analyzed recent developments in Vietnam and the world. He asked party members and leaders from ministries, sectors, and localities to ensure social security and order, protect national independence and maritime sovereignty, the Party, regime, and people, and maintain a peaceful environment for national development. He also asked for careful preparation to ensure safety for important political events including Party congresses at all levels and the 12th National Party Congress next year.
