(VOVworld) – A performance to mark the Communist Party of Vietnam’s 84^th anniversary opened at the Hanoi Opera House on Saturday. Former Party leader Le Kha Phieu, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and a number of senior party and state leaders attended the event.

Delegates reviewed important milestones in the development of the Vietnamese party and its leadership over the last 84 years. They also discussed ways to improve the party’s leadership and fighting spirit and to promote the movement to follow President Ho Chi Minh’s moral example.

The program highlighted people’s trust in the party and its role in the process of modernization, industrialization and international integration.
