Experts urge for promoting international integration to usher Vietnam into a new era

(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam needs to continue its firm steps in international integration and strengthen its commitment to multilateralism to respond to Party General Secretary To Lam’s call for leading the nation into an era of national rise, say foreign experts.

In an interview with a VNA correspondent in Switzerland, Mr. Philip Rosler, Honorary Consul of Vietnam in Switzerland and former Deputy Prime Minister of Germany, underscored the need for Vietnam to prioritize economic development and aim for ambitious GDP growth targets.

He highlighted that fostering multilateral cooperation is key to attracting international attention and encouraging foreign investment, which are critical steps for Vietnam to enhance its global standing.

Sharing similar views, Mr. Ivo Sieber, former Swiss Ambassador to Vietnam, affirmed that deepening international cooperation and multilateralism are essential for Vietnam’s aspirations in the "era of national rise."

He stressed that economic and trade agreements should be a focus area for Vietnam in the coming years, serving as a foundation for sustainable growth and integration into the global economy.
