At the exact moment of transition into the Year of the Horse, the sky over Hanoi lights up with spectacular fireworks.

In Hanoi, the transition between the old and new year at midnight on Monday was marked by brilliant fireworks lighting up the night sky.
Many residents said they chose to go out this year to celebrate New Year’s Eve in order to experience firsthand the hopeful atmosphere of a new beginning.
“This year, the fireworks are more stunning than ever, and people seem more excited.”
“I hope my work will be more successful and smooth. For the New Year, health is the most important thing. With good health, we have everything.”
“I wish for a good New Year, with everything going as planned and prosperity ahead. May my family always be joyful, happy, and well-provided for.”

In Da Nang, both banks of the Han River were brightly illuminated. 2025 closed with major changes, notably the merger of Quang Nam Province and Da Nang as of July 1. At this meaningful moment, many residents reflected emotionally on a year of transformation.
“I have high expectations for the new Da Nang after the merger. I believe that with the determination of the authorities and the joint efforts of the people, the city will achieve breakthrough development,” said local resident Nguyen Thi Hoa.
In the ancient town of Hoi An, thousands of lanterns illuminated the Hoai River, while cultural performances and folk games drew large crowds.

Ho Chi Minh City residents also welcomed the Lunar New Year in a lively and hopeful atmosphere, gathering along central streets to watch dazzling fireworks displays.
Across the country, New Year’s Eve carried renewed faith and aspirations, with hopes that the year ahead will bring peace, prosperity, and good fortune for all.
