Hue Imperial Citadel rings in Year of the Horse with fireworks, rituals
(VOVWORLD) -An art program and fireworks display will light up Ngo Mon Square in Hue city to ringing in the Year of the Horse on Sunday night, the 29th day of the 12th lunar month of the Year of the Snake.

On Tuesday, the first day of the Lunar New Year, the Hue Imperial Citadel Conservation Center will organize special artistic programs, offering visitors an authentic imperial experience.
The Changing of the Guard, a traditional military ritual of the Nguyen Dynasty (1802–1945), will take place at Ngo Mon Gate.
It will be followed by a cannon firing ceremony at Ngo Mon Gate and gift-giving and welcoming of the first international guests to the Imperial Citadel.
There will also be performances of traditional music, Hue folk songs, and a New Year concert. On the second and third days of the Lunar New Year, the Hue Imperial Citadel will host a spectacular lion dance and traditional martial arts performance.
