(VOVWORLD) - Preparations for the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 tenure is underway across coastal communes and wards in Quang Tri province.

Authorities have intensified communication about election-related information to local people, especially fishermen who spend long time at sea.
At Viet Trung Fishing Port in Bac Trach Commune, thanks to regular outreach by local authorities and mass organizations, fishermen have been well informed about the election schedule and polling locations, and are proactively adjusting their fishing plans to ensure they can return in time to cast their ballots.
Meanwhile, in many other coastal residential areas, public loudspeakers broadcast voters’ rights and obligations, election time, voting procedures, and key milestones in the election process. Alongside these traditional methods, technology and social media are used to help fishermen and their families easily access information, especially those working offshore or frequently away from home for extended periods.
Quang Tri province is thorough, flexible, and practical preparations to ensure that all voters, including fishermen, have full access to information and can fully exercise their civic rights and duties on election day scheduled for March 15, 2026.
