(VOVworld) - President Francois Hollande named Interior Minister Manuel Valls as France's prime minister on Monday. Valls is a minister with high credibility. President Francois Hollande was speaking on TV about the appointment: “It’s time for a new period. I appoint Mr. Manuel Valls, who has the necessary qualities to lead the government. We’ll have a new cabinet with more attachment, articulation and militancy”
Analysts say there will be no significant changes in key cabinet positions such as Foreign Minister, Defense Minister and Minister of Labor….Two new people who may join the cabinet are Segolene Royal, former presidential candidate in 2007, and Bertrand Delanoe, the former Paris Mayor who is expected to replace Valls as Interior Minister.
