France seeks solution to strike crisis
(VOVWORLD) - The French government will resume talks with trade unions to try to resolve the current strike crisis. A third general strike on Tuesday drew more than half a million people into the streets.

Under unrelenting pressure from unions and the possibility that strikes will continue during Christmas and the New Year, the French Prime Minister Edouard Philippe on Wednesday agreed to meet with union representatives. His goal will be to persuade the unions to suspend strikes during the holidays.
