The event is held to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Vietnam-Germany diplomatic relations (1975-2025).
The two concert nights will feature Professor Dang Ngoc Long, Rector of the Berlin-Gesundbrunnen Music School and Chairman of the Berlin International Guitar Competition's Art Council. He is also the first Vietnamese musician to have a music competition in Germany named after him, the LONG-Wettbewerb für Sologitarre.
Prof. Long will perform his own composition, the “Suite Kieu” (To khuc Kieu), alongside the Tübingen Philharmonic Orchestra. The piece has been performed by a number of musicians and orchestras in Germany, and is expected to be a highlight of the event.
