Public Security Ministry aims to complete housing for flood victims ahead of Government’s deadline

(VOVWORLD) - The people’s public security force is striving to complete the construction of houses for flood-affected communities by January 20, 2026, ten days ahead of the Government’s deadline, Major General Nguyen Hong Nguyen, Deputy Chief of the Ministry’s Office, said at a conference in Hanoi on Saturday.

The force is building nearly 450 new houses for residents in central provinces affected by recent storms and floods, with financial support of more than 1,900 USD per house.

Major General Nguyen stressed that, alongside rebuilding homes, it is crucial to ensure rural security, social welfare, public health and safety, social stability, and measures to restore and stabilize local livelihoods.
