Germany holds coalition talks
(VOVWORLD) - German Chancellor Angela Merkel’s Christian Democrats (CDU) and their Bavarian Christian Social Union (CSU) partners held separate talks with the Free Democrats (FDP) and the Greens on forming a new coalition government.

The talks between CDU and FDP narrowing differences in areas from immigration to the European Union to environmental policy were positive. Later in the day, Merkel and CSU leaders met with the Greens.
