(VOVworld) - Global Action Week for Education 2013 under the themes "Every child has the right to good teachers" and "Competent and enthusiastic teaching staff for all learners" began yesterday in Hai Duong province. Under the framework of the Global Campaign for Education co-organized by the Union of NGOs and the Ministry of Education and Training, this annual event will run in Vietnam from April 21 to 28. The slogans stress the importance of enhancing the quality of teaching to ensure the right to a good quality education.

During the action week, schools will hold direct dialogues among students, parents, teachers and local education authorities to discuss the most effective ways to foster the teacher quality nation-wide. A column entitled ‘Good Teacher for 21st Century Learners’ will appear in the Education and Times newspaper and the Science and Education Journal, two forums for ideas about necessary qualities and skills for every teacher.
