According to the Organizing Committee, the main highlight will be the “Southeast Asian Gong Harmony Festival 2025,” scheduled for December 20.

The event is expected to gather more than 200 artisans from the provinces of Gia Lai, Dak Lak, Quang Ngai, Phu Tho, and Lam Dong, together with five delegations from Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Thailand.

Musician Le Minh Son, the program’s general director, said that residents and visitors will be treated to the most authentic sounds of the majestic forests.

“This is entirely an interaction between the audience and the artisans. It will be a powerful and intense sound feast, because the instruments are made from alloyed bronze as we will play live, without any preamplifier. The gongs will resound together with thousands of spectators. This truly is a wonderful festival for Da Lat in particular and regionally,” Son said.

During the Southeast Asian Gong Culture Festival, two records will be celebrated. They are the largest gong performance space combined with cultural–artistic activities and the musical work with the largest gong performance ensemble called “We are LamDong”.

In addition, there will be a vibrant side events such as a brocade fashion show, the 2025 Global Coffee Heritage Festival, and an international coffee conference.
