(VOVWORLD) - The Party Committee of the Government for the 2020 - 2025 term held its second meeting on Tuesday to discuss and further refine documents to be submitted to the first Congress of the Government's Party Committee for the 2025 - 2030 term.

At the meeting, the participants the draft political reports to be presented at the congress, focusing on reviewing tasks during the 2020 - 2025 period, identifying directions for 2025 - 2030.
Concerning the draft Political Report, Politburo member, Secretary of the Government's Party Committee, and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized the importance of aligning with the objectives outlined in the documents prepared for the 14th National Party Congress, particularly the goal of achieving double-digit annual economic growth.
The Prime Minister highlighted key tasks, solutions, and breakthrough measures aimed at transforming the growth model toward rapid, green, and sustainable development. He stressed the need to continue implementing the three strategic breakthroughs: improving institutions, developing infrastructure, and enhancing human resources, as well as effectively carrying out strategic resolutions issued by the Politburo.
Other priorities include building and piloting a two-tier local government model; positioning the private sector as the most important driver of growth while maintaining the leading role of the state economy; strengthening national defense and security capabilities; completing strategic infrastructure projects; enhancing the effectiveness of foreign affairs, especially in economic diplomacy; addressing climate change; and responding to population aging, among other pressing issues.
