Hanoi People’s Council session ends

(VOV) - The seventh session of the Hanoi People’s Council closed on Saturday with the adoption of 19 resolutions and the vote of confidence for 18 positions elected by the council. In his speech at the closing session, Chairman of the Municipal People’s Committee Nguyen The Thao said despite facing difficulties in the first half of this year, Hanoi achieved the three major targets: higher economic growth, lower inflation rate and improved social welfare which will create a premise for the city to make better socio-economic performance in the time to come. He underlined the need to keep the market in check, gain higher economic growth, create more jobs, ensure social welfare, budget revenue and political stability and improve administrative management efficiency. Thao said streamlining administrative formalities to facilitate business operations  continuing to properly implement the Law on Capital City and drastic measures fulfill socio-economic tasks is also another priority in the second half to meet people’s expectation.
