Hanoi to ensure a balanced structure of election candidates

(VOVWORLD) - The election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels for the 2026–2031 term is coming soon.

Thorough personnel preparation to determine the structure, composition, and allocation of candidates will ensure the process is democratic, lawful, and effective.

Kieu Thi Kim Dung, Chairwoman of the Fatherland Front Committee of Hat Mon commune, Hanoi said, the organization has developed a candidate structure that ensures balanced representation across genders, ages, sectors, social groups, and residential areas.

"The process has been conducted in a democratic, transparent, and lawful manner, ensuring a reasonable balance in age, gender, and representation of various social groups. The outcomes of the consultation rounds have received broad consensus from member organizations and voters in Hat Mon commune," said Kim Dung. 

In Thuong Tin commune, the third consultative conference was held with broad consensus on the list of eligible candidates for the 2026–2031 communal People’s Council.

"The consultative steps are important to introduce qualified and capable candidates. The third round played a particularly important role in ensuring the success of the election and was carried out in a serious, well-organized manner," said  Nguyen Toan Thang, Chairman of the Fatherland Front Committee of Thuong Tin commune. 

Tran The Cuong, Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Council, expressed confidence that thorough, responsible preparations would ensure the success of the election.

"With a strong sense of responsibility at all levels and active support from the voters, election preparations in Hanoi are on track and on schedule, with no major difficulties. I’m confident that this election will be successful in selecting capable, trustworthy representatives who reflect the will and aspirations of the voters," said Cuong.
