(VOVWORLD) - The 18th International Travel Expo Ho Chi Minh City (ITE HCMC 2024) will be held from September 5 to September 7 at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Centre, the HCM City Tourism Department announced at a press conference on Thursday.

With the theme “Responsible Travel – Creating the Future,” the event aims to develop a sustainable tourism that's in harmony with cultural, social, and environmental values, which is the strategic orientation of the tourism industry in Vietnam.
Ho Chi Minh City is trying to expand this year's Fair to a regional fair to attract influential domestic and international partners, local authorities said.
So far, more than 450 exhibitors and 200 international buyers from 33 countries and territories have registered to participate, including big travel agents like the Flight Centre Travel Group and Intrepid from Australia, Collette - the oldest travel company in the US - and Exim Tour of the DERTour Group, which is the leading travel corporation in Europe.
The 3-day Fair expects to generate more than 10,000 business appointments.
