(VOVWORLD) - 31 foreign delegations from 15 countries have confirmed their participation in the second Friendship Dialogue to be held in Ho Chi Minh City on September 23 and 24, according to the municipal Department of External Relations.

The number of delegations attending the event is higher than expected and higher than for the first occasion. 17 activities will be held on the sideline of the Friendship Dialogue and Economic Forum, said Nguyen Phuoc Anh, Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department ofExternal Relations.
“People diplomacy activities and cultural exchanges include tasting egg coffee, watching hot air balloons, travelling on a cruise ship, and attending the “Vietnam Night” gala. These activities aim to promote cultural beauty and bring people closer to each other, which is true to the meaning of the Friendship Dialogue to strengthen the friendly relationship between Ho Chi Minh City and twined localities,” Anh said.
Nguyen Ngoc Hoa, President of the Ho Chi Minh City Union of Business Association, said this year’s Economic Forum will involve representatives from 20 localities, seven international organizations, and 51 speakers.
