The program combined modern technology, unmanned aerial vehicles and traditional lantern installations to create a large-scale light spectacle. The moving images of the Dragon and Phoenix were choreographed like a spring-opening ritual, conveying wishes for prosperity, good fortune and smooth beginnings in the new lunar year.

With the message “Illuminating Vietnamese Culture,” the festival for the first time brings together large-scale lantern displays, drone performances and traditional craft experiences to retell the story of the ancient trading port of Faifo through the language of light and modern technology.

A series of themed activities will also be held, including Silk Week and Ceramics Week. The festival will feature craft village experience spaces and shopping areas showcasing traditional handicrafts in Hoi An.
