Speaker Paul Ryan said that after American Independence Day the House would vote on a broad bill that will include measures to prevent radicalization and recruitment by extremist groups, as well as provisions to stop suspected terrorists from buying guns. The move happened one week after Democrats staged a nearly 26-hour sit-in demanding a vote on preventing suspected terrorists from purchasing guns and expand gun-control measures. Those proposals were not approved by the US Senate earlier.
