Houthi claims to have attacked 4 US warships and launched ballistic missiles at Israel
(VOVWORLD) - Yemen's Houthi rebels announced on Sunday that they have carried out a "qualitative operation" targeting a US destroyer and three supply ships in the Gulf of Aden.

Houthi spokesperson General Yahya Saree said in a statement that the attack involved 16 ballistic missiles, one cruise missile, and a drone, achieving what the group described as precise hits in both the Arabian Sea and the Gulf of Aden. The US has not commented on the claim.
The Houthis also announced that they had launched a ballistic missile against a key facility inside Israel. They claimed the missile hit the intended target. The Israeli military confirmed the Houthi attack, but said its air defense system had neutralized the missile outside Israeli airspace.
Since November of last year, Houthi forces have carried out repeated missile and drone attacks on ships in the Red Sea, Arabian Sea, Mediterranean Sea, and Indian Ocean, and have repeatedly launched ballistic missiles and deployed drones to attack Israeli territory to demonstrate solidarity with the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.
