Hungary praises Vietnam’s role in the region and the world

(VOVworld)- Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Thien Nhan met with Acting Speaker of the Hungarian Parliament Istvan Jalab, and held talks with Deputy Prime Minister Zsolt Semjen during his official visit to Hungary over the past 3 days. He also visited the Paks nuclear power plant, Budapest Technical and Economics University, the Vietnamese Embassy and overseas Vietnamese in Hungary. During the meetings, Hungarian leaders praised Vietnam’s position in the region and the world. The two sides agreed to boost multifaceted cooperation in economics, trade, investment, human resource, energy, culture, tourism and sports. Mr. Nhan thanked Hungary for considering Vietnam a priority partner in its ODA policy and affirmed that Vietnam will create the best conditions for Hungarian investors in doing business in Vietnam. Hungary pledged to increase cooperation with Vietnam in education and training and encourage Vietnamese students to study in Hungary. The two signed a cooperative agreement on human resource training for nuclear development for peaceful purposes. Under the agreement, the Hungarian government will grant 40 scholarships to Vietnamese students each year.
